I put on my pretty sparkly dress, my dear friend Rachel put extra curls in my hair, and I sang a brilliant sustainted high C#. (I felt like Anna!)
Nagyon szeretem enekelni!! I love singing!! :) Mark didn't exactly do everything we had done in rehearsals but oh well. We did our best to follow each other. We only had one rehearsal with the orchestra, so that can add to the nerves a little. It certainly wasn't perfect but who cares. That's live performance for you. And that is part of what makes it so exciting. It is in moments like last night when I know with my entire heart that I am doing what I am meant to do. :)
I handed my camera off before the concert began last night, and my friend Ken took a few pictures. I apologize that they are kind of blurry...I wouldn't let him use a flash because then I would get distracted.
Pretty dresses!! :)
"The Divas"
The lovely Lynn :)
He also surprised me and took a video of the end of my piece. :) I was amazed at how well the microphone on my camera worked...especially with the high notes. Crazy but cool!
Samantha,
ReplyDeleteYour performance was as excellent as I thought it would be! Thank you for exhibiting your enviable and esteemed talents for us to experience. You certainly sing better than I do.
The photographs are wonderful; I especially like the one you entitled "The Divas."
May God continue to richly bless you!
-Tyler.
OMG Samantha!! Thank you for pointing this out on facebook; I would have hated to miss it! You are fabulously AMAZING!! You are really going to go places! I love that you got to sing with an orchestra! When we do our junior/senior voice recitals, it is just with piano.
ReplyDeleteP.s...I tried to listen to the clips on your home page but it wasn't working for me...are the links dead? Now that I've gotten a small taste of how awesome the recital went, I want to hear those tracks even MORE :D
Congratulations on a job incredibly well done! Now on to bigger and even better things!
