Just how much snow there really is:
I wasn't even touching the ground yet...I was standing on a compacted bed of ice and snow.
What can still be seen of the dog house in the backyard.
Becca and I took a venture out into it...a lap around the house that left us huffing and puffing from the effort to push through the endless layers of snow, a climb to the top of "snow mountain," and being toppled by snow and then more snow. And it is STILL coming down. It's been snowing for 3 days straight now.
Samantha,
ReplyDeleteThat must be the blizzard that Oklahoma received on Christmas Eve, only it appears to have gained energy since it left us. It gave the Oklahoma City metropolis area, which is where I reside, a record 14.1 inches of snowfall, and it snowed all day and part of Christmas Day, as well. We still have snow on the ground here, and I do not see it departing from you any time soon. Do you enjoy the winter's weather very much, or do you loathe it?
I hope your New Year's Day was one of much happiness, and I am pleased to see that you are your usual self.
I regret that I have been lacking in my comments on your posts, but please do not assume that I have neglected to read your informative, humorous, insightful posts because I assure you that this is not the case. I was offered a position of employment recently, and I took it to procure more capital to further my ambitions, and this has left me with less time for personal activity.
I am glad that you are having a wonderful time at home; I only worry that you may not be able to leave to return to college with so much snow on the ground for as long a time as it is sure to stay. I pray that you continue in God's grace, and thank you for making my first year of blogging so enjoyable.
