I am thankful for an amazing night and wonderful Christmas concert. Kind of on Cloud 9 right now. Nagyon boldog vagyok. I am very happy. It went very well.
A csitari, despite the awful rehearsal, was brilliant. Nagyon jó! :) Pictures and a few stories to come... Oh! and I heard a new snail joke tonight! haha! Amazing!
(And everyone loved "Gram's cookies"...)

ReplyDeleteSamantha,
ReplyDeleteWhen you sadly leave Hungary, an occasion surely full of mixed emotions clashing inside of you, please give it a fond farewell from your various readers as well, for I am certain that we have just as much a love for it by reading your humorous, highly entertaining, and sometimes educational blog of personal events as you do.
I have begun to peruse your blog's archives, and I must say it makes interesting, even arresting literature. If you do not continue it when you reach the United States, I shall miss it. Some of the small details I enjoy within your blog are your inclusion of your lately adopted lexicon, your pictures (of course; are these not worth a thousand words?), and your personal style of writing, which reads as if you were conversing with anyone who would listen.
Speaking of your Hungarian linguistic inclusion, it would be thoughtful and not without educational value to occasionally create a post to teach the language and grammar to others. That would be very interesting to me, but if you have viewed my profile, then you know that I have a liking of linguistics, so I cannot say how others would respond to such a thing. In any event, you are doing an excellent job of giving us an elementary knowledge of the Hungarian lexicon.
I proffer you my immense and humble gratitude for replying to me in a timely manner when I introduced myself to you; it was a kind show of cordiality, and I would have quite understood your reasoning if you had not done so. You did inquire as to my discovery of your blog; I found it through the Opera_luvr blog's list of blogs. I thought that I could utilize the list to find other blogs concerning our mutual interest of opera. I learned of the Opera_luvr blog through Google.
Once again, thank you for the delight you bring into my life from abroad so often. Although I currently do not attend an university, I find that I can relate to so many of your circumstances. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with marvelous prospects for your career and every othe facet of your life. May God bless you and you family and friends.
-Tyler.
